Makeup Tips

Halloween Makeup isn't for everyone, but for those who want a few tips read on!

First things first. Make sure you have chosen a costume that you like and one that likes you. By that we mean, make sure it fits just right, and that you have enough room to move and be comfortable in. If the costume you have chosen is a little bit thin, make sure you have enough room to wear some of your own clothing underneath, so your kept warm, often go for a slightly bigger size of costume so you can do this! Also, make sure if you are going to apply makeup, make sure the costume you have chosen actually needs it! Don't just go crazy because its Halloween and think, I got to have makeup! If you don't actually have a costume, make up can be the best way to go - just wear your own clothes, splash on some makeup and style it up with some costume jewellery and perhaps a wig!

Remember, less is more. The more time you spend doing your Halloween Makeup, the less time you have to party and generally have a good time. You don't really want to be walking around asking everyone you meet 'does my makeup look okay?' - It will look great and you can achieve some amazing effects, so long as you keep it simple!

Practice makes perfect. You might be one of those lucky people out there who can fling things together in a few seconds, but if you're like me, I always get a dry run in first! Especially those who are doing this for the first time. It's real important that you don't leave the makeup to the last minute and think that all will be alright on the night, chances are it will be messy! Check out the range of Snazaroo Makeup that will give you a lot in a little tub. It will cover loads of faces, so don't think you are going to run out. Use this as the base for your make up and add other touches on top.

It is important to get your white makeup in early, it sells fast, and if you leave picking up your makeup to Halloween Eve, or even those late ones on Halloween Day, it might be tough to pick up some White Make Up at this stage!

If you are going for some lipstick, chose a dark colour, there is always a Friday night for the pinks and purple, go for a deep red or black for Halloween Night! For the ladies and the more adventurous men out there, eyelashes and some eye(guy)liner, can be great to really bring those eyes out!

If you are intending to apply some scares over the top of your make up, the best thing we suggest to stick it on is spirit gum and make sure you get the spirit gum remover for the end of the night. The last thing you want to do is peel some of your face off in the process. Spirit Gum is fantastic stuff and really keeps the scars and scabs on there.
